The Journey

Milestones of Stagecraft & Showmanship

STAGE 01 • AGES 10 – 16

The Star Magic Box & Early Spotlight

Richard’s stage life began at age 10 with a custom black wooden box painted with silver stars, built by his father. Performing magic routines, storytelling, and singing across London, Essex, and Kent, Richard discovered the core philosophy that defines him today: the show is never about tricks or notes—it is about captivating the room.

STAGE 02 • 6 SUMMERS (USA)

Head of Theatre in Pennsylvania

Traveling to the USA as a magic counselor at Independent Lake Camp in Pennsylvania, Richard quickly rose to Head of Theatre for 6 consecutive summers. Directing full-scale musicals such as Annie and Grease, leading international creative staff, and hosting massive camp events honed his commanding stage presence, live compèring, and vocal authority.

STAGE 03 • STAGE NAME ORIGINS

Enter 'Richard Peters' & Professional Association

Returning to the UK, Richard auditioned for veteran agent Ray Pallett (RP Entertainment). Recognizing his natural vocal warmth and showmanship, Ray championed him and christened his stage name Richard Peters. This began a 30+ year professional association carried forward today by co-founder Anthony Docherty at Star Acts Entertainment Ltd, while Richard maintains full self-representation and collaborates with multiple agencies and venues.

STAGE 04 • CANARY ISLANDS RESIDENCY

5-Month Tenerife Cabaret Residency

Richard spent 5 intensive months performing 7 nights a week in Tenerife across high-traffic holiday resorts, hotel lounges, and cabaret venues. Performing back-to-back shows for international tourist crowds refined his crowd-reading instincts and expanded his multi-decade catalog.

STAGE 05 • GLOBAL TOURING & TODAY

International Bands, Theatrical Leads & UK Stages

From fronting rock and soul bands in Malaysia (24 Jam) and South Korea (The Rotten Rubrics) to touring UK holiday parks with The Kryptonites and walking a live tightrope as P.T. Barnum, Richard brings unmatched versatility and polish to every stage he steps onto.
